Oman Expedition 2013

Oman Expedition 2013

On the 29th January I will depart for the Empty Quarter of Oman, where I’ll lead a team of Members from The British Exploring Society deep into the desert. Our objective is to follow on from the success of last year’s expedition, locating stone age scatter sites, believed to be Nubian Complex, and conducting small mammal surveys in the desert.

After time spent in the desert we will travel across the Dhofar Mountains to Wadi Sayq. There we will continue with our mammal diversity study and the Arabian Leopard Project, working in close collaboration with the Oman Office of Conservation.
